ARRAY PAR-16 - best of breed |

I have had several of the cheaper Chinese LED bulbs and a couple of Cree bulbs, all have big heat sinks and they get very hot.
The Nexxus Array product is superior, its brighter,its very bright,it doesn't have a big heat sink,they run cool, they are reliable for up to 50,000 hours. Its a perfect color match match to the incandescent bulb, I'm impressed.
The PAR-16 is every bit as bright as a 35 watt Halagen and it uses only 2.6 watts for 3000k warm light.
It will last over 10 years burning 12 hours a day. All the box stores and the fast food restaurants, schools, government buildings and hotels all will need a good 10 year bulb. All Nexxus needs now is some big contracts. I think we will be seeing more of the Nexxus bulbs, THEY ARE BEST OF BREED, buy one and test it out, you will see

Best I've found... |

My wife and I are remodeling the kitchen, and we wanted to go all LED for lighting.
After a somewhat exhausting search, and after trying three types of LED "bulbs" side-by-side, we've pulled the trigger and are outfitting the kitchen with Array PAR 30 lamps.
As technology changes, it's easier to unscrew a light bulb from a recessed can, than replace a dedicated fixture. Also - these are line voltage - another convenience.
The warm white is the best we've found, and the quaility of the light is bright, but not offensive. The smaller Array LED emitters give a smoother appearance, so the initial thought from visitors won't be "oh, you've got LED lights".
Another nice feature is that the bulbs are dimmable, as we were quite surprised by the brightness. The bulbs do have a broad shoulder, so they might not fit in all fixtures. They look fine however in the conical can housing - no need to hide.
After this project, then we'll start converting more rooms over to Array.

I have ordered eight of these to date for recessed fixtures in my family room. The color is bright and true - dimmability is awesome. If you are looking for the best performance (lumens/watt), these are it.
